Welcome to 2W's Class Page!
It has been a busy and exciting start to 2019. In 2W we are learning about sources of energy and how they are sensed! This means we are conducting lots of experiments and making observations using our five senses. We are using what we learn during Science to inspire our writing and have shifted our reading focus to information texts and learning to identify the difference between facts and opinions.
The introduction of personal learning goals for writing means we have seen tremendous growth in all of the students. In Mathematics we are investing time, focusing on the different seasons, months in the year and working with clocks to tell the time. We enjoy learning new track and field skills at sport and look forward to showing off what we can do at the Athletics carnival next Term.
During our time with Miss Saunders we learn about inclusive and respectful relationships which aims to develop strategies to learn how to protect themselves and others in a range of situations. We also learn about the ‘past in the present’ which involves learning about how people lived, what school was like and what toys they played with (be sure to have a conversation with members of 2W to share what life was like when you were their age).
