Welcome to 1D's class page!
1D have been busy in the classroom doing lots of exciting things.
Year 1 have been working on their reading and writing skills, and have even had the opportunity to use their addition strategies to help count the whole schools tarr-iffic’s.
We have had a rainforest theme running in the classroom and lots of our work has revolved around animals, including in our writing and our artwork.
Year 1 has also been practicing their tennis skills with the Wollongong Tennis Academy on a Thursday. We may have some tennis stars on our hands!
They have also been practicing their dance moves with kindergarten and Year 2 and will proudly be performing for Grandfriends day in April.
1D has made lots of interesting discoveries in Science with Miss Saunders. This terms theme is ‘Mix It Up’ and they have been exploring all sorts of mixtures including making slime and food dye art.
It has been a great start to the year, so keep up the great work 1D!
